Your appointment

All requests for appointments are triaged by one of our GP Partners. They will then speedily decide which is the most appropriate course of action to be followed. This could be to see or speak to the right member of our medical team, or to see a pharmacist, attend the Urgent Care Centre or A&E, or be referred to hospital. The patient will then be informed in timely fashion.

The aim is to make the processing of requests quicker to make sure that a patient's needs are met in the most appropriate way. This also ensures the best use of the resources we have available.

However you choose to contact us we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery
  • on a video call
  • by text or email.

Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means the doctor or nurse can help you sooner.
