How to see the Doctor or Nurse

Consultations

All consultations are by appointment. Please ring the appointments line:

For Ashwell ring 0844 4994777 and select option 2

For Bassingbourn ring 0844 4994778 and select option 2

You can choose between an appointment within 48 hours with any available doctor, or an appointment with the doctor of your choice when they are available and at a time that suits you.

Please tell us if you think that your condition needs an urgent appointment and you will be seen on that day, usually at the end of the current surgery.

Sometimes it may not be necessary for you to come into the surgery to see a doctor or nurse and the doctor may be able to offer advice over the phone. If so, we can offer a telephone consultation, when the doctor will ring you back at a pre-arranged time. Please tell the receptionist if you would like this sort of consultation.

Home Visits

If you think you may need a home visit because you are too unwell to attend the surgery, please phone the surgery before 10.00 am if possible. You will be able to talk to a doctor to discuss the best course of action. The numbers to ring are:

For all emergencies during the day, please ring the numbers given above but select option 1 instead.
